From the time the For Sale sign was stuck in the ground to the time we were under contract has been a whirlwind.
We had one open house prior to the holidays in December to generate interest and much to our surprise, 100 people walked through our house that Sunday afternoon. From that day forward, our vocabulary included new phrases like “bidding war” and “all cash sale”.
The signing of the contract happened in 5 days.
Then we celebrated the holidays without realizing what was about to happen. So that we would feel like we were doing something we ordered boxes, bubblewrap, and plastic wrap on Amazon. These items sat in our pantry for weeks.
We began the big purge right after the first week in January. Nothing can prepare you for the emotional roller coaster purging is. We’ve been married for a long time and with several children, we have collected a lot of stuff.
I confess I am attached to stuff. This is going to be harder than I thought.
