We All Need To Eat

I was driving home from Home Depot this afternoon with a car full of moving boxes today, when it occurred to me that I hadn’t planned dinner yet.

Pulling into the parking lot at Trader Joe’s, I placed a call to ask my husband if he was willing to brave the cold and grill burgers outside tonight.

We decided together to cast aside the grilling idea and go out for burgers near home, and spend much needed time with one of our kids. We even agreed to keep the dinner conversation off limits pertaining to the topic of moving.

My life is all about change right now. But we all need to eat, right? So I want to remember these simple, seemingly ordinary moments around the table to savor one another’s kindness, love, silly stories and even frustrations with life to help us ease into the next chapter.

Maybe Thai next time though….
